WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?
Yoga is very adaptable to those with injuries. Through the use of props the body is assisted in regaining stability, strength, and mobility.  The movements can be adapted by the use of props to assist in the mobilising of stiff, inflamed joints and muscles. Blood flow is increased to the affected area, accelerating the healing process. 

WHAT IF I AM TIRED OR UNWELL?
Yoga can be practiced even when tired or unwell, practising asanas will relieve your body from tension and strain.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I ATTEND CLASS?
If possible it is recommended that you attend classes twice a week. The class theme is the same throughout the entire week, if you have the opportunity to attend class twice a week you have the advantage of refining your skills in the asanas practiced that week. Muscle memory is also achieved by repetition, enhancing the body's intelligence.

AM I TOO OLD TO START YOGA?
The beauty of yoga is that it can be practiced by people of all ages. Students practice to their own capacity.

WHAT IF I AM MENSTRUATING?
Please advise me if you are menstruating, as some of the postures are unsuitable at this time.

DO I NEED TO BOOK FOR A CLASS?
Yes bookings are essential.

DO I NEED TO CANCEL FOR A CLASS?
Yes, if you are booked in for a class and are unable to make it please let me know in advance.

WHICH CLASS SHOULD I ATTEND?
There will always be a different range of levels in the one class. When advanced asanas are practiced in class a “preparation” asana or an easier alternative will always offered. It is important that you do not push yourself beyond what your body can handle and always choose the option that is best for you. 

IS IT OK TO EAT OR DRINK BEFORE YOGA?
Doing yoga on a full stomach can disturb your digestive system and make you feel uncomfortable. It is best to leave 1 to 2 hours after a light meal and 3 hours after a heavy meal before practicing Yoga. 

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Comfortable clothing is best. For example, shorts or tights, a T-shirt and a warm top. Clean and bare feet. Mats and equipment are cleaned regularly, as bare feet are essential please come to class with clean feet.
