Come and join one of Australia’s Senior Ashtanga Teachers, Paul Frechtling, in this Ashtanga Yoga weekend intensive. Comprised of four individual sessions over three days, this is a level and quality of training you would not want to miss.

Ashtanga Yoga has been a big part of Paul Frechtling's life for the last 20 years. He was introduced to yoga in the late eighties and began a dedicated daily Ashtanga practice around 1992. Finding the flow of breath and postures of Ashtanga so beneficial for both body and mind, he began teaching this style to others so they could also feel the benefits and now teaches both in Sydney as well as the Blue Mountains. Paul teaches with care and understanding to slowly cultivate deeper awareness and encourage a daily practice.

He has been to Mysore, India to study under the master Sri K Pattabhi Jois and his grandson, Sharath, who gave him authorization to teach. Other teachers who have greatly influenced him have been Graeme Northfield, Peter Sanson and Eileen Hall. Paul has also studied Anatomy and Physiology to encourage greater body awareness, pranayama and meditation. He has worked with people with injuries and illnesses and found Ashtanga Yoga to be very beneficial for all types of people.

In this workshop Paul will offer students an opportunity to deepen their practice through led and Mysore-style classes. We will work on technical aspects of the practice as well as focusing on breath and flowing movement. This is a great opportunity for students of all levels to experience a weekend of intensive Ashtanga Yoga practice with a senior teacher of this tradition.
